The Safe Call

Fletcher, who in November, on his 40th birthday, ruptured his patella tendon when he missed a step on a set of stairs, worked all seven games in the Zephyrs’ past homestand. The games were his final tests in his rehabilitation before he returns to the majors this week. Sessions with Shilstone have fine-tuned Fletcher.

“In one week’s time, I’ve made tremendous strides working with Mackie and his group,” Fletcher said.

Shilstone said: “I was charged to improve his range of motion, improve his core strength and improve his running mechanics.”
